New look for the blog!

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. I became so busy with INKMADE's website launch and decided to tackle the next thing on my to-do list: my blog. After using the Blogger platform for many years, I've decided to move my blog to a new platform that allows me to post more efficiently. Hope you like the change! The old blog will still be up on Blogger if you want to check it out.

Out with the old.
With this move to a new blogging platform, I wanted to get my head clear and start by posting my intention for the blog. The initial mission of having a blog in the first place was to share updates from my time in architecture school and a few bits and pieces from my personal life. I posted videos, photos, progress information, and research regarding the projects I worked on for school. I just did it for myself, to keep track of the work I do and also post about some personal experiences every now and then, just so I can look back to them later. In a way, my blog was just a digital public scrapbook and I loved it.

In with the new.
Now that I've graduated and have started INKMADE, I want to make sure my blog continues to be a home for my thoughts, memories, and ideas, as well as a place of inspiration for others. I recently bumped into a high school student at a party and she told me she followed my blog and is pursuing architecture as a major in school. It made me so happy, knowing that she read my blog and wanted to pursue her love for architecture. So with this new blog, I hope to share stories from the past and present, with the hope of learning from both my mistakes and successes and to also share them with you, just in case anything I've done might help you along the way. I personally look for blogs for advice, reviews, suggestions, and stories to help me with any projects or problems I have. I also look to them for photos and snippets that uplift me after a long day of work. I hope to do a little bit of everything :)

Life isn't always as clean and cute as a blog.
If my posts inspire you to pursue your dreams and goals, that's awesome! But please know that life isn't perfect. Blogs may show the perfect side of things, but in reality, pursuing your dreams is sometimes messy, complicated, and frustrating. Balancing your dreams with the hustle and bustle of everyday life is not simple and hard to visualize through a blog. So when you set out to do whatever it is you want to do, be ready to work hard, make mistakes, and have many ups and downs. It'll all be worth it :)

I hope you enjoy following my blog and I hope you push yourself to try something new just like I did with this blog and INKMADE. Here's to a fresh start.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful and productive day!
